Advocating for all humans to have empowering experiences through hypothesis-driven innovation and UX research methodologies.
Tom Glanz
Understanding and empowering humans using technology is my driving passion.

Currently positioned as a Senior UX Research Manager at Microsoft, I lead a crew of three researchers working horizontally on Windows and collaborate with our larger research team and community. I strategize closely with PM, sprint with design, and connect with data science to learn about our customers more deeply and apply that knowledge to successful product making.

I am a quant and qual researcher, with extensive experience in evaluative and foundational research methods including contextual inquiry, longitudinal studies, survey design, and usability testing and metrics. I've been lucky enough to work on Office products, internal tools, Xbox, HoloLens, apps, and Windows.

For the last 18 months, I've researched Responsible AI and how to best advocate for our users in this challenging new environment of data privacy needs. As I grow in my manager role, I look to lead my team in finding critical cross-project insights and researching inclusively and with empathy for humans using Windows. I'm always interested in exploring new opportunities for professional connections, collaborations, and development!
